New! Special Yoga three day training. November 8-10 2019

Yoga for Adults with Special Needs inclusivity includes everyone. It is through this principle that Yoga for Adults with Special Needs was developed. We are a part of an ageing population suffering from a shortage of quality health and fitness services, and this course is dedicated to addressing the situation.

The robust three-day course explores the tools you can use to support adults with a variety of different abilities in discovering their potential … through the therapeutic benefits of Special Yoga.

This training runs from 9:30-5:30 with an hour for lunch and appropriate breaks throughout the day.

Monthly Tia Chi and Meditation

Join Victoria Bodhini and Yoko Young for an energy harmonising afternoon of Tai Chi and meditation.This event is suitable for both beginners and those with previous experience of Tai Chi and Meditation.
£22 per person

Yoko will begin the session with revitalising Tai Chi after which there will be a refreshment break followed by deeply relaxing meditation practices with Victoria Bodhini.

Tai Chi is a form of moving meditation characterized by soft, slow, flowing movements that emphasize force, cultivating Chi (氣) energy. Tai Chi is a gentle exercise which relaxes and strengthens your body and mind.
Yoko is a World Tai Chi Gold medallist and British National Tai Chi Champion of 2018
You don't need to wear any special clothing, just something loose and comfortable. This also applies to your footwear.

For meditation, please bring a blanket and cushion/ pillow and a yoga mat if you have one. (Spare mats are available if needed)

Rock painting workshops new dates to be added.

Rock painting is a creative and fun way to spread kindness and love to others. For ages 8-12 yrs.
In the workshop the children can create their design and get to use special pens so they can dry quickly. We discuss ideas and have time to look at what we create together.
This is a popular hobby and after creating the rocks they can take them away and hide in the village or give as presents.
The workshop costs £10 and all rocks and materials are supplied.

Sunday sound healing & meditation

Dates for this are:

12th May, 9th June, 14th July and 18th 4.15pm to 5.30pm

Hosted by Bodhi Aspirations will be hosting a monthly group.

Experience a relaxing guided meditation followed by a sound bath in which you can deeply rest in the vibrations of various meditative, therapeutic and sacred sounds. These sounds can include gongs, singing bowls, reiki drumming and more.
You will need to bring:
a blanket
pillow or cushion and
yoga mat
We do have spare yoga mats. Please let us know if you require one.

Create your own vision board!

Have you often thought of creating a vision board to help you manifest the things in your life that you are working towards or would like to attract but not had the time or appropriate space? Our upcoming workshop could be perfect for you. Following a short relaxation exercise to help you focus on your heart centre, we will support you to create your own vision board to take home with you. All materials provided, although if you have anything specific you would like to bring please feel welcome to do so.

Introduction to mindfulness and relaxation skills

This introductory morning will provide insight into basic mindfulness tools and techniques that can help us manage stressful situations. We will also guide you through a relaxation exercise that you can take home. Cost of workshop £25. 7-9pm.

Inner peace maintenance morning

A time for radical rest and re-set for your mind, body and soul.
An opportunity that is not always available during the working/ school week.
Enjoy these two hours of deep relaxation consisting of gentle yoga, meditation and sound healing.
No previous experience of yoga or meditation required.
If you are pregnant, have any injuries or medical conditions, please contact me about these in confidence before booking to make sure this session is suitable for you.

Yoga Thursday evenings 7.30pm-8.45pm

Hatha yoga is a generic term that refers to any type of yoga that teaches physical postures. Nearly every type of yoga class taught in the West is Hatha yoga. When a class is marketed as Hatha, it generally means that you will get a gentle introduction to the most basic yoga postures. You probably won't work up a sweat in a hatha yoga class, but you should end up leaving class feeling longer, looser, and more relaxed.

If you’ve answered “yes” to any of the above then Mindfulness classes are for you.

Mindfulness based stress reduction MBSR

This evidenced based 8 week stress reduction programme is increasingly popular for stress management and its close cousin the MBCT is recommended by NICE for treatment of anxiety and depression.
We live in a busy, fast paced world, which can, at times, feel pressured or overwhelming.
This 8 week course guides you through the principles of mindfulness and teaches you stress reduction tools and techniques that you can take forward into the next phase of your lives.
Held over 8 consecutive evenings, this course is suitable for people who have little or no current mindfulness or meditation practise as well as those more experienced looking to support their current practise. Participants must commit to the whole course.
Applicants will be given an informal free telephone assessment session to help determine suitability at this time, and to answer any of your questions.
Group sizes will be no larger than 10, if you are concerned about being in a group, we can discuss this, as there are many benefits to attending as part of a group process. Alternatively, one to one 8 week courses are available on request in instances of sever social anxiety. Tania is also available for individual counselling or CBT sessions.
Tania Brocklehurst MBACP, is a senior accredited BACP counsellor and supervisor , CBT therapist and has attended teacher training in mindfulness with Bangor University.

MBSR: New date is being put in the dairy so we are taking names now as places will be limited.
